About Me
To me, home isn’t home without pets to share it with. I’ve grown up around animals and have always felt a strong bond with them.
I currently live with 3 cats and 2 dogs and interact with many more whilst working as a part time Veterinary Nurse, running puppy classes and teaching dog owners how to communicate with their canine companions using a method called Amichien Bonding®.

I came across Jan Fennells' book “The Dog Listener” some years ago and have never looked back. As with a lot of us, I found myself assigning human emotions to my dogs' behaviours and treating them in a human way. But dogs are not human and need to be communicated with in a language that they understand.
In 2006 Jan Fennell visited New Zealand and I attended her Foundation Course in Tauranga and immediately began using her methods with my dogs. I saw a difference in our relationship very quickly and our bond is much stronger now than it was before. Wanting to learn more and teach others, I attended the Advanced Canine Communication Course in the U.K. in 2007.
I cover the Waikato and Bay of Plenty area and hope to make a positive difference to many dogs and their owners.
